A late night with Chris Cunningham

Hello,

So I find myself up, much terribly later than I would wish, and unable to really fall asleep. I guess the reason being I don't feel like sleeping... waking up... going to work.

Work sucks.

Anyway, I got my organ working, I still have to tune the damn thing, but it works, which is nice. It sounds pretty good too, it has a wicked reverb, unfotunately it only works when the reverb is turned on, so I haven't heard the sound clean. The rythm box doesn't work yet either. However it has a killer vibrato, and it's so much fun to be able to stomp down on bass pedals. So now I have to fix whatever else, and then probably see what i can or can't do to mod the thing, and then put it all back together, make it look nice, I dunno, Paint it maybe, and I shall be in business.

Anyway, the other reason I am up late, is that I discovered Chris Cunningham, who happens to be one of the most brilliant directors ever. I was downloading random music videos, by him, and by Michel gondry, who is also really good... In a diferent way.

Music & Christmas

So I was all alone for christmas, me and Captain Morgan. I can't say it was the most horrible thing though. My family called around 3:00 and I was able to wish every single one a merry Christmas and the like.

Also being completely alone, it gave me a chance to work on some music, and I did write a few things, nothing extraordinary though. I didn't get drunk either, I kinda drank throughout the day and maintained a bit of a buzz. I find being drunk isn't fun unless other people are around.

I didn't work on my organ, I was going to, but I didn't feel up to it at all really. I hope I can get it working since I spent 45$ on a Multimeter, soldering iron, and solder. It would be a shame if it was all in vain, considering I got the thing for free, but then again, who can tell when one might be in a sticky situation and in need of a multimeter.

I can't say I'm too excited to be back at work tommorrow, it was far to short of a Christmas holiday. Oh well, I have no money anyway, so it's not like missing the boxing day sales is anything but avoiding inevitable depression at my lack of moneys.

Anyway, Merry Christmas all

Matt

The Never End

His spine dangled precariously from the gaping nothing. Transformed pulses of psychic energy apeared as red balloons drifting sulkily through the gap torn through the old manor wall. Flesh dissolved and congealed in rapid uttered breaths. Soft and quietly, his body slipped from it's perch and fell, crumpled onto the hard dry-packed mud beneath. Balloons burst, each one sending diamond sharp needles oscillating a giant tattoo in the centre of his forehead. The last bits of skin closed around his naked spine, and his fingers twitched with each wave of deposited flesh.

A deep calm covered the little patch of ground, he rolled over and pressed against the security of the stone wall. It was a few more minutes before he could remember the muscles to pull open his eyelids. Swirling colors danced manicly as his brain fought to bring order to the chaotic mass throughput in his cortex. He fought to gain comprehension of the garbled input his entire senses assaulted him with. Only his sense of touch told him he had apeared right where he had wanted too. His ears rung with the screeches and cries of home, his nose was still filled with a sulpherous stench, and his mouth was filled with hot acid, as he emptied his stomach repeatedly in violent spasms. Vomit soaked into the thirsty earth and soon his brain reordered itself enough to bring it to him in identifiable form.

Finally, he was whole except for a few echoes of the dimension from which he had escaped. He pulled himself up to rest sitting against the wall. He shook and pulled together the strength to bear his head up.

A field stretched out before him, it was completely dry and barren. The sky was a dull red color, and the blood-red moon filled a signifigant portion of the sky. It was wholly on fire but only managed to dimly light the world, and give off a feeble heat. There were no stars in the sky, and the sun seemed to have slipped away aeons ago. His gaze reached out across the dead plains, and he could see mountains in the distance, some of them apeared to be floating at least a mile high in the sky.
Celestial mechanics must be breaking down! Has is really been that long?
He wondered.

He stood up and turned towards the wall, the gap from which he had come was still visible only a few feet above his head. There was still a commotion as another person struggled to fight through the energies into the world. Rays of intense heated color framed the outline of a human figure, which finally dropped onto the vomit soaked ground where he had lay only moments earlier. Self conciously he brushed at the mud staining his body. He turned away fully aware that he was naked and ashamed to be in the presence of a woman.

End of Part 1

I hope you liked it,

So I guess this is my introductory speech to my new blog. My first Blog... uh... my only blog.

So, I watched all of the new season of Family guy today... Played Buffy the Vampire slayer, and found a date for the Cheesecake Christmas party. Pretty sweet day... unfortunately, tommorrow I work... not so sweet.
